A Critical Look at WB Yeats

This online class will explore WB Yeats background and various factors influencing his work. We will discuss important biases he had and why. We will also explore aspects of Irish folklore that he reshaped in radical ways.

Yeats is often put forward as a significant resource for Irish folklore and much of his material is considered definitive, yet when we look beneath the surface we find that he was very creative in what he wrote.
